a little shakey, but it counts as a ride
This weekend was my first time to get back on a motorcycle since the accident last fall. After staring at the Shadow for the past couple of weekends; I decided to charge the battery, clean it up, and take it out for an afternoon ride. As excited I was to hit the road, every time I thought about riding I had this sick feeling in my gut. Determined to get 1 ride in this weekend, I fired it up and hit the road.
The experience as a whole was decent, but I wasn’t nearly as comfortable going into tight turns as I was before. To be honest it was a bit unnerving. I had the same damn wobbles as I did when I first learned how to ride! bah… either way, I managed to get the bike out and familiarize myself with riding again. I’m sure it’s going to take a few trips to get comfortable again, but this was a good start.
