WP-FacebookConnect

Having recently plunged myself into the facebook community, it seemed fitting to leverage Facebook Connect for users comments, discussions….etc.  A portable identity, trusted authentication, and no longer having a need for a wordpress registration all add up to the kind of awesomeness that makes me happy.

Implementation was pretty simple using the WP-FBConnect plugin.

• Download & Install the plugin. -> here
• Create a new FB App & harvest the public/private keys
• Configure the plugin in wp-admin

Theme integration is a simple php one-liner that you dump in comment.php …that’s it.  I’m working through a couple of minor issues…for instance the avatar box does not resize properly…but nothing huge.

   Thanks for the great article. Is this a wordpress website? I like that platform, really nice.
