an overdue reboot

After months of neglect, I recently decided to breathe some life into drbond.net My initial thoughts were to tidy up the interface a bit and scrub some of the old content; but it didn’t take long to realize that everything to go.
The quick list of obvious changes is as follows:
- New Theme
- Flickr Photostream
- TwitterFeed
- Xbox Live Stats
- Facebook Connect
Regarding content, my goal is to reserve this space for journaling and article publication. One-liners and random links will be best distributed through my twitter timeline.

Many people speculate on how the world will end. One of Nostrodamus’ predictions was that in 2012, Earth will come very close to another planet, resulting in our planet getting knocked off of its gravitational axis. This could also cause the Earth’s crust to be torn and natural disasters would occur that kill many except for a small percentage of people. While billions of people would die in such a series of events, there would be a few survivos – and some believe that those who would live through it are on a list that has been determined by the government.
I enjoy finding out all the different types of 12/21/12 mayan prophecy, I imagine one redeeming idea that has come of all of this, even if nothing occurs is that it has opened our minds to the possibility that we may not be here forever and that we need to treasure the lifetime we have.
